From 2000 until 2011 North Korea's population has increased incredibly but has suffered a down fall in 2009 and 2010. In 2000 North Korea's population was 21,687,550 and in 2011 it was a massive 24,457,490.

The latitudinal and longitudinal of North Korea is 127°00'E and 40°00'N. North Korea expands over a total area of 120,540 kilometres. Around 90% of the total area is dry and the rest of North Korea is surrounded by water. The three main countries that border North Korea are China, Russia and South Korea, along with the Yellow Sea and the Sea of Japan (East Sea).
